Fellowship and Ministry Coordinator

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
I am originally from Mexico City. In 1994, working for an automotive company in my hometown, I met my husband   Olivier, originally from France. We were married and God blessed us with two beautiful children; Jonathan, a senior at the USC "GO GAMECOCKS," and Ana, who will be a freshman at College of Charleston next year. We became parishioners in 2016 when we moved from Lexington, SC, after living there for 10 years. My husband's work brought us to this beautiful country that we have adopted as our own.

Tell us a little about your role at St. Mary Magdalene.

I have worked for the Diocese of Charleston for 5 years. First at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, and when we moved here, I had the opportunity to work at this parish. I take care of some events throughout the parish and support all the needs of the ministries to grow in their faith and discipleship. The part of my work that I enjoy the most is the opportunity to meet new people from different cultures, with whom I always learn something new. My work here is different every day. I love having a good relationship with the ministry leaders, my colleagues and my community. I feel that God has given me the beautiful talent of harmony, which I always try to use and keep in mind.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

In my free time, I like to go out with my family and with my friends to visit new places. I also collaborate in a non-profit association that raises funds to grant college scholarships to young Hispanics.
