LOVED by the Father, TRANSFORMED by the Son, SENT by the Spirit

AWE is just a fresh way to remind God’s people of what the church has always taught.

Man’s Purpose: from the Baltimore Catechism

To KNOW God   •   To LOVE God   •   To SERVE God

  • To know God

We know God as we grow in our relationship with Him through prayer, and understand our identity as His children.
Adore:  Latin: ad (to) orare (pray)

ADORE

We love because He first loved us and we have an identity, with an inheritance, as sons and daughters of God.

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God.”
1 John 3:1

  • To love God

We are to be conformed to Christ, to love like Jesus, in full surrender and sacrifice - to die to self and live for Christ.
Worship: to give glory or honor.

WORSHIP

In gratitude, our lives become a living sacrifice.
We live to love Him in return.

“I urge you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,
holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship.”
Romans 12:1

  • To serve God

Do the work He's calling us to do - serve His people, bring others to Him.

Evangelize: to bring good news, to convert or seek to convert.

EVANGELIZE

Ignited by the Holy Spirit, we love others as He loved us.

“As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.”
Matthew 10:7

AWE Explained Through The Logo

The Shape

The circle represents the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith, one Body of Christ, and the whole world, which God desires to set ablaze by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 2:49

The Colors

Black and white overlayed by the varied colors, reminds us of the one Church, both traditional and charismatic (CF. Lumen Gentium 12). The two blue drops signify the water of baptism, which bestows our identity as sons and daughters of God.

The uncontainable flame represents the Holy Spirit burning boldly within us, developing charisms for the building up of the Church.
1Corinthians 12:12-21

The Words

As sons and daughters, in awe we adore God our Abba Father and receive His Holy Spirit making us a new creation. In worship and gratitude, we give our lives as a living sacrifice for all He’s given us. We are transformed by the consuming fire of His love and are compelled to evangelize and share His love with others.
