The Dark Side

Clergy Corner by Fr. Robert Falabella

In the Collect of today’s Mass we pray: “Oh God, who chose us, through the grace of Baptism, to be children of light, grant…that we may not be wrapped in the darkness of error, but always be seen to stand in the bright light of truth…”

More and more we are seeing today a world “wrapped in the darkness of error,” as evidenced in the very defiance of reality so that the definition of a human person in the womb can only be when the state declares it -- otherwise “it” is nothing more than a mass of tissue to be discarded as nothing more than refuse, unless some of that tissue will be declared by the state’s Disposal Specialists, Planned Parenthood, to be “body parts” with a commercial value.

This shroud of such darkness is further compounded by this defiance of reality metastasizing throughout the moral fabric of mankind, and seen in the absurdity of such edicts of the state as exemplified in its doctrine on “transgenderism,” which is the defiance by the mind against, for example, actuality itself as described in the science of human biology. An example of the absurdity of an application of this Leftist doctrine is when a biological male, with a height of six feet, four inches and two hundred pounds will enter himself as a female in the upcoming Olympic Games, and demand the right to compete against the biological females in the javelin event!!

Think of the further chaos that arises from this idolization and worship and acceptance of this religion of subjectivism -- my thinking determines reality -- as the standard that therefore determines what is to be considered TRUTH, now pragmatically defined as that which is forever changeable, in all aspects of life. This absurdity proliferates in the bizarre forms of dehumanized self-creations as exemplified in transgenderized morphs or variants as seen “ad nauseam” in transsexuals, transvestites, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, drag queens, drag kings, etc.

How may one explain this self-morphing of the human species? It begins when a human being rejects that which is Transcendent to them -- God -- whom they gratuitously replace in their minds with themselves which bears out all the more our need for Jesus Christ, Who as the Incarnate Word of God, has presented to us what the perfection of humanity really is.

For a biological male person to reject his maleness and for a biological female to reject her femaleness is but another form of a creature of God yielding to the temptation to rebel against the “creativity and will of God.” Recall in Scripture: “God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them (and) God blessed them saying: “Be fertile and multiply” (Gen 1:27-28).

hus, when the creature, “man,” rejects being made in the image of God, “order” is replaced with “disorder;” an attempt being made to replace God’s Reality with ‘man’s’ fantasy -- which results with a gratuitous façade of     respectability for transgenderism and its morphic proliferations.

We now further see the added significance of the word “being saved” -- namely being saved from ourselves who can so easily be tempted to replace God’s image of order with the image of disorder -- an image that is other than God, as represented in today’s ultimate cancer -- the manmade culture of death that is now found destroying    humanity itself -- a destruction that comes about when mankind has chosen to replace being made in God’s image to being made in a godless image of man -- the initiation of which is mankind’s self-destruct button.
